How We Compare Torriden With Other K-Beauty Brands

Torriden is not better or worse than Anua, Beauty of Joseon, SKIN1004, COSRX, Round Lab, Medicube or Biodance in any general sense: the ingredient lists show different jobs. This page sets one Torriden product beside a comparable product from each brand and says what the ingredient lists and the brands' own words show.

This site does not publish user ratings or run its own tests: we look at ingredients, the brand's information and UK shop prices. We give no winner. For each pair you get a simple "choose X if, choose Y if" reading of the ingredient lists.

What is being compared

  • DIVE IN Serum against Beauty of Joseon Glow Serum, SKIN1004 Madagascar Centella Ampoule and COSRX Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence.
  • DIVE IN Toner against Anua Heartleaf 77 Soothing Toner, Round Lab 1025 Dokdo Toner and Medicube Zero Pore Pads.
  • DIVE IN Watery Moisture Sun Cream against Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun.
  • BALANCEFUL Serum against SKIN1004 Madagascar Centella Ampoule.
  • CELLMAZING Firming Gel Mask against Biodance Bio-Collagen Real Deep Mask.

Ingredient lists for the competitors come from each brand's own website (US or global), checked on 19 October 2026. Torriden's come from its US website, torriden.us, on the same date. The pack sold in the UK may list ingredients differently, so check the box before you buy. We do not compare prices here.

Serums and Essences: DIVE IN, Beauty of Joseon, SKIN1004 and COSRX

DIVE IN Serum is a hyaluronic acid serum with 33 ingredients listed, while the SKIN1004 ampoule lists only 7 and the COSRX essence is built around snail secretion filtrate. Beauty of Joseon Glow Serum is the odd one out: its list includes propolis extract and niacinamide, which Torriden's serum does not contain.

ProductTypeKey ingredients in the listFragrance or essential oils listedWhat the brand says it is for
Torriden DIVE IN Serum (50 ml)SerumFive forms of hyaluronic acid, panthenol, allantoin, Ceramide NP, madecassoside, cholesterolNo Fragrance/Parfum, no essential oilsMoisture with "5D multi low-molecular hyaluronic acid"; up to 48 hours of lasting moisture, according to the brand
Beauty of Joseon Glow Serum (30 ml, 60 ml)SerumPropolis extract, niacinamide, betaine salicylate, sodium hyaluronateNo Fragrance/Parfum, no essential oils (tea tree appears as an extract)Helps refine the look of skin texture and pores, hydrate and calm, according to the brand
SKIN1004 Madagascar Centella Ampoule (30, 55, 100 ml)AmpouleWater, glycerin, butylene glycol, Centella Asiatica ExtractNo Fragrance/Parfum, no essential oilsHelps soothe visible redness and comfort sensitive-looking skin, according to the brand
COSRX Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence (100 ml)EssenceSnail secretion filtrate, betaine, sodium hyaluronate, allantoin, panthenolNo Fragrance/Parfum, no essential oilsHelps strengthen the skin barrier with 96% snail mucin, according to the brand

The table reads ingredient lists, so it shows what is in each bottle, not how any of them feels on your skin.

Choose by what you want from the bottle

  • DIVE IN Serum suits you if you want a water-based hyaluronic acid layer with extras such as panthenol, allantoin and Ceramide NP, and no acid or niacinamide.
  • Glow Serum suits you if you want niacinamide and propolis; it also lists betaine salicylate, a salicylic-acid-related ingredient, so it is a different kind of serum.
  • The SKIN1004 ampoule suits you if you prefer a very short list built around centella.
  • COSRX Snail 96 suits you if you are happy with an animal-derived ingredient: snail secretion filtrate is made by snails, so it is not vegan by nature.

Torriden says its products are vegan-certified and does not name the certifier, so read that as the brand's own statement. Our page on Torriden cruelty-free, vegan and sensitive skin claims covers it in more detail.

Toners and Pads: DIVE IN Toner, Anua, Round Lab and Medicube

DIVE IN Toner is a plain hydrating toner with 20 listed ingredients, no acid and no essential oils. Anua's Heartleaf 77 toner is also hydration-led but built around heartleaf water, Round Lab's toner is a short list that includes an enzyme, and Medicube's pads are a different product: acids, alcohol and essential oils.

ProductTypeKey ingredients in the listFragrance or essential oils listedWhat the brand says it is for
Torriden DIVE IN Toner (300 ml)TonerFive forms of hyaluronic acid, betaine, allantoin, panthenol, Portulaca Oleracea ExtractNo Fragrance/Parfum, no essential oils, no acidsA gentle, low pH toner that replenishes moisture after washing, according to the brand
Anua Heartleaf 77 Soothing Toner (250 ml, 500 ml)TonerHouttuynia Cordata water, glycerin, panthenol, centella extract, seven forms of hyaluronic acidNo Fragrance/Parfum, no essential oilsDesigned to calm irritation and moisturise, according to the brand
Round Lab 1025 Dokdo Toner (50 to 500 ml)TonerSea Water, Protease, betaine, panthenol, allantoinNo Fragrance/Parfum, no essential oilsExfoliates dead skin cells and leaves moisture, according to the brand
Medicube Zero Pore Pads 2.0 (70 pads)PadsLactic Acid, Salicylic Acid, Betaine Salicylate, Alcohol Denat., panthenolSeven essential oils and Limonene listed; no Fragrance/ParfumExfoliates dead skin cells, clears sebum and minimises the look of pores, according to the brand

Torriden and Anua share panthenol, centella, Portulaca Oleracea Extract and a stack of hyaluronic acid forms, so the biggest difference is the base: Anua names a plant water as its first ingredient and Torriden starts with plain water.

Choose by how much active you want

  • DIVE IN Toner if you want hydration only. Its US ingredient list has no acid.
  • Anua Heartleaf 77 if you want a hydrating toner with a plant-water base and plant extracts such as heartleaf, chamomile and centella.
  • Round Lab 1025 Dokdo if you want a short list with an enzyme ingredient. Its brand text talks about exfoliating dead skin cells.
  • Medicube Zero Pore Pads if you want a pad with acids. Its list also holds Alcohol Denat. and essential oils, so look at it closely if you react to scented products.

Sunscreen: Torriden Watery Moisture Sun Cream Against Relief Sun

Both are creamy sunscreens that use organic ("chemical") UV filters, and both list niacinamide. Three filters are shared; Beauty of Joseon adds a fourth and Torriden adds two others. Neither list shows zinc oxide or titanium dioxide.

The Torriden list above comes from Pure Seoul, a UK shop, because this sunscreen is not on Torriden's US website. Pure Seoul notes that ingredients can change at the manufacturer's discretion.

  • Choose the Torriden cream if you like a hyaluronic-acid-heavy sunscreen list and a 60 ml size.
  • Choose Relief Sun if you prefer a rice-extract formula; Beauty of Joseon describes it as absorbing quickly without white cast.
  • Either way, apply generously and reapply as the pack says; a sunscreen label in a table is no replacement for the instructions in the box.

More about the three Torriden sunscreens is on Torriden sunscreens sold in the UK.

Centella: BALANCEFUL Serum Against SKIN1004

BALANCEFUL Serum and the SKIN1004 ampoule are both centella products, but they are built differently. Torriden's list has 45 ingredients and names five centella derivatives; SKIN1004's has 7 and names one, Centella Asiatica Extract.

Other notable itemsPanthenol, allantoin, hyaluronic acid forms, Capryloyl Salicylic Acid, Dipeptide-2Glycerin, butylene glycol, cellulose gum

Brand wordingHelps alleviate sensitive skin with five types of centella asiatica extract ingredients; "Non-Comedogenic"Helps soothe visible redness and comfort sensitive-looking skin; suitable for all skin types, especially dry and delicate skin

The Capryloyl Salicylic Acid in BALANCEFUL Serum is a mild exfoliating acid, so it is not a pure soothing formula. If you want the shortest possible centella list, SKIN1004 matches that. If you want several centella forms with hyaluronic acid, BALANCEFUL does.

If you have a skin condition, or redness that worries you, ask your GP, a pharmacist or a dermatologist before changing your routine. See BALANCEFUL and the Torriden centella range for the line itself.

Sheet Masks: CELLMAZING Firming Gel Mask Against Biodance

Both are collagen-themed hydrogel masks with niacinamide. The lists differ in length and in extras: Torriden's has 72 ingredients, with peptides and amino acids, while Biodance's leads on glycerin and niacinamide and includes a galactomyces ferment.

Fragrance or essential oilsNo Fragrance/Parfum, no essential oilsNo Fragrance/Parfum, no essential oils
Brand wordingHelps improve skin firmness and elasticity; helps improve the look of fine lines and texture over timeOvernight use; by day the brand says 3-4 hours or until it becomes transparent

Biodance's own site describes its collagen as fish collagen, so it is not a vegan mask. We could not confirm where the collagen in the Torriden mask comes from, so ask the brand if that matters to you.

  • Choose CELLMAZING if you want peptides and a long list with amino acids.
  • Choose Biodance if you prefer a shorter list with a ferment and plant waters, or an overnight format.
  • Check the mask size and count on each shop page, because Biodance sells 4, 8 and 16 mask packs.

Fragrance and Essential Oils at a Glance

Of the competitor products checked, only Medicube Zero Pore Pads list essential oils. None of the products compared here list Fragrance or Parfum, including the Torriden ones.

"No Fragrance/Parfum" means the word is not in the list. Plant extracts with a scent can still appear: Torriden's Soothing Cream lists lavender, clary sage and chamomile extracts, for example. Some Torriden cleansers do list essential oils, which is covered on Torriden cleansers.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Torriden better than Anua?
Neither is better on the evidence we have; they do different things. Anua's Heartleaf 77 toner is built around heartleaf water and plant extracts, while Torriden's DIVE IN Toner is a hyaluronic acid toner with a plain water base. Neither lists Fragrance/Parfum. Choose by the ingredients you want.
Torriden or Beauty of Joseon serum?
DIVE IN Serum is a hyaluronic acid serum with Ceramide NP and no niacinamide. Beauty of Joseon Glow Serum lists propolis extract, niacinamide and betaine salicylate. Pick Torriden for a plain hydration layer, Beauty of Joseon if you want niacinamide and propolis.
Is Torriden similar to SKIN1004?
Only partly. Both have centella, but BALANCEFUL Serum lists five centella derivatives among 45 ingredients, while SKIN1004's Centella Ampoule lists one centella ingredient among 7. Torriden's DIVE IN line is mostly about hyaluronic acid, not centella.
Torriden or Biodance mask?
They are different formats. CELLMAZING Firming Gel Mask is a 36 g hydrogel mask with peptides and several collagen entries. Biodance's Bio-Collagen Real Deep Mask can be worn overnight and its collagen is fish-derived, according to Biodance's site. Neither list shows Fragrance/Parfum.
Which of these products lists essential oils?
Of the competitor products we checked, only Medicube Zero Pore Pads list essential oils and Limonene. Among Torriden products, the cleansing oil and some cleansers do, as does the Brightening Ampoule. Check the list of any product you plan to use if you are sensitive to scents.
